Message from the Principal

Dear Parents and Students:

Welcome to the Burrillville High School website,  BHS serves approximately 750 students in grades nine through twelve. BHS is located in the village of Harrisville in northwest Rhode Island. BHS is a comprehensive high school, offering students an extensive range of curricular and co-curricular opportunities.

Burrillville High School is a wonderful place to teach and learn. Strong support and collaboration from parents/ guardians, school staff, central administration, the school committee and the community have all helped to make BHS a great educational environment. This collaboration is critical to the continued success of our school.

Developing each student is a team effort, faculty and staff in conjunction with parent/guardians strive to develop the qualities of citizenship, scholarship, and character. At BHS we characterize this as Bronco Pride, and we are very fortunate to be supported from families and the community so that this message is clear and consistent to our students.

As you browse the pages of this website, you may notice the number of opportunities offered to our students. I encourage students to take advantage of the opportunities and become involved in the extra-curricular activities that interest them. When students become involved in music, art, drama, sports, school-sponsored clubs, scholastic achievement often improves. Becoming involved helps students to feel connected to the school and helps build personalized relationships to school personnel.

On behalf of the entire Burrillville High School faculty, thank you for supporting our high school. We hope you enjoy our webpage and the information it provides. Please feel free to contact us with any questions, thank you.
